Presentation on Honduras by Kay Gimbel 8:00 pm

Kay is an active member of the Mining Justice Action Committee; this summer he want to Honduras with a Rights Action delegation.

Active in BC Ferry and Marine Workers Union, he says, “Now that the 'working for a living' chapter of my life is coming to a close, I hope to dedicate a lot more time to making this a better world for my grandson.”

Graeme Russell of Rights Action stated about this delegation: Our focus of inquiry was “What do the U.S and Canada have to do with repression, human rights violations, corruption and impunity in Honduras?”

Kay will address this important aspect of the current situation in Honduras. The delegation honoured the life, vision and struggles of Berta Caceres who was murdered for her pro-environment anti-dam activism.

Discussion and action suggestions to follow.
