Approximately 70% of the world’s mining companies are registered in Canada, and in many cases Canadian mining operations are associated with human rights abuses and environmental degradation.  “Communities in Resistance” is an art show and performance event in solidarity with people who are in danger of intimidation and violence as try to protect their communities impacted by Canadian mining operations.

Spoken word/performance event is 7:30 pm Friday October 24 at 1923 Fernwood Rd. Art show runs at Little Fernwood Gallery October 16 - November 6.
